Don’t spend your summer wondering what’s going on, get out there and experience all that Massachusetts has to offer! This list includes a few family friendly events for you to check out.


World Oceans Day celebrations will be held at the New England Aquarium in Boson June 5th from 11am-3pm. There will be hands-on activities, cooking demonstrations, and tons to learn about ocean animals. June 7th through June 9th, noon to 8pm is the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl at City Hall Plaza in Boston. This will be the largest all-you-can-eat ice cream festival all benefiting the Jimmy Fund for cancer research. The Marini Farm Strawberry Festival in Ipswich is going on June 16th at 259 Linebrook Road, Ipswich. There will be strawberry picking, inflatable slides, games, inside exploration, and shortcake! If you’re a fan of farm fresh food, this is an event you won’t want to miss.



The Orange Solstice Riverfest will be held this year June 18th at Memorial Park in Orange, MA. There will be a boat parade, musicians, food, and plenty of booths to check out. There will also be kayaking, water games, a climbing wall, and you can even watch a parachutist from Jumptown come down over the area with a giant American flag. http://www.orangeriverfest.org/




June 24th to 25th at the Benjamin Franklin Institute in Boston there will be the Boston Jerkfest. This will be a festival of indoor and outdoor Caribbean styled food and opportunities to learn more about the Caribbean culture.
